Questions
How does MapIndex find businesses without a website?
It scans the businesses listed on the map inside the area you search and checks whether each one lists a website. Businesses with none, or with a slow site that isn't mobile-friendly, are flagged as leads.
What is a lead score?
A 0–100 score for how likely a business is to want a new website. No website, plenty of reviews and good ratings push it up; a working modern site pushes it down.
Can I search a specific area instead of a whole city?
Yes. Drop a radius around any point or draw a freehand outline, and only businesses inside it are returned.
Which business types can I filter by?
Restaurants, plumbers, salons, contractors, auto repair, dentists and cleaning services, and you can combine several types in one search.
Is there an API?
Yes. The same data the map uses is available over a simple REST endpoint that returns every business in a map area.
